Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how RocketQueue handles information when viewers and streamers use the RocketQueue Twitch bot and web application. RocketQueue is a hosted software-as-a-service platform used to organize private Rocket League tournaments for Twitch communities.
1. Information we store
RocketQueue may store the following information in its application database:
- Twitch user ID and Twitch username;
- for broadcasters who enable moderator access, a Twitch authorisation token and the list of their channel's moderators;
- moderator notes written about a viewer in a channel, readable only by that channel's moderators;
- linked SteamID64;
- linked Epic account ID and Epic display name;
- an estimated Rocket League rank derived from public ballchasing.com replay metadata, or a rank set manually by a tournament moderator;
- registered channels and their service tier;
- timestamps showing when accounts were linked; and
- random session tokens used to keep users signed in.
RocketQueue does not collect email addresses for its own use and does not currently process payments.
2. Authentication and passwords
RocketQueue does not ask for or handle Twitch, Steam, or Epic account passwords. Authentication takes place on the relevant provider's own sign-in page. RocketQueue receives only the identifiers and profile information returned after successful authentication.
For Epic Games sign-in, RocketQueue requests only the basic_profile scope, which provides the Epic account ID and display name.
3. Cookies
RocketQueue uses only cookies that are necessary for the application to work: an HttpOnly session cookie used to maintain a signed-in web session, and short-lived CSRF/state cookies used during authentication flows. RocketQueue does not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, browser fingerprinting, or similar tracking technologies.
4. Temporary tournament information
The active queue, generated brackets, team compositions, and tournament or lobby join codes are held in application memory only. This information is not written to the persistent database and is lost when the relevant RocketQueue service restarts.
5. How information is used
Information is used to operate community Rocket League tournaments, including to: identify viewers and associate Twitch users with linked Rocket League platform accounts; restrict queue access or tournament codes to eligible, linked users; estimate ranks for seeding and balanced team formation; display brackets, teams, and tournament status; and verify match results using public replay data when that feature is enabled.
6. Third-party services
RocketQueue may contact the following services to provide its features: Twitch (identity and bot functionality), Steam (OpenID sign-in verification), Epic Games (OAuth authentication and display-name retrieval), and ballchasing.com (public replay metadata for rank estimation and result verification). Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
7. Information that may be public
Public bracket pages and a channel's live queue page may show participants' Twitch usernames, estimated ranks, team names, and whether a Steam or Epic account is linked, to anyone who has the page URL. Messages sent by the bot in Twitch chat are visible to people in that chat. Tournament or lobby join codes are shown on the web app only to eligible queued players and the broadcaster.
8. Retention and deletion
Web sessions are deleted after seven days. Linked-account information remains stored until it is removed. Users who want their stored account-link information removed may contact RocketQueue support, which can delete the corresponding stored record.
9. Sale, advertising, and tracking
RocketQueue does not sell personal information, share user information with advertisers, run advertising, or use information for cross-site behavioral tracking.
10. Children and minimum age
RocketQueue is intended for users who meet Twitch's minimum age requirement, generally 13 or older. The service is not directed to children under 13.
11. Security
RocketQueue uses third-party authentication so it does not need to store account passwords. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect stored information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this policy
RocketQueue may update this Privacy Policy when its services or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
